This small planter is part of my limited Mehendi Daydream series. All of the pieces in this series are created with 3- firing process. First, I made this planter on the wheel and hand carved the Mehendi, or henna design before it dried. Once dry, it got its first firing. Then I painted the background colors on and fired again. After that I added the black underglaze to the carved details, sealed it with a clear glaze, and fired it in the kiln for the 3rd and final time.

It is a one of a kind art piece, created by me, with love, in my studio.
