Apple Hill is a lovely area in Camino, California, just minutes from where I lived for 25 years. The apple trees in bloom were one of my favorite things to see each springtime. To make it even lovelier, when the clouds got dramatic and threatened rain, the contrast of the bright pink against the darkening sky was simply gorgeous. I loved painting out in various areas of Apple Hill, whether it was fruit orchards, flower farms or pumpkin patches.
